DESIGN CHALLENGE: College students have been working on an exhibition piece for the event. Guests will score each piece and a winner will be chosen. Designers are Cristina Gazca from St. Catherine University, Hannah Condon from Art Institute International, Carolyn McIntyre from Minneapolis Community Technical College, Crystal Compton from the University of Minnesota and Reilly McMonigal from the College of Visual Arts.
WHY? The clothing we wear is not only from the second most polluting industry in the world, textile and garment workers continue to suffer abuses and poor working conditions to meet the demand of fast fashion. YOU CAN HELP by donating and spending money at this fundraiser. Funds will be used for scholarships to college fashion students to create awareness about the impact they can make to clean up the fashion industry.
“You can never be overdressed or over-educated.” – Oscar Wilde
